Stimulus Package To Help Medical Industry

The medical industry will be getting $1.2 billion to assist in creating paperless pratices.
Las Vegas - Part of President Barrack Obama’s stimulus package will go to the medical industry forging its way into a paperless industry. This bill would allow for medical practitioners Electronic Health Records (EHR) to be integrated into a secure database. This database would allow multiple practitioners to access other patients Personal Health Information (PHI).
The amount for the project is said to be $1.2 billion these funds are to be dispersed to help with compliance and data storage concerns. Also for consideration are seminars and webcasts that will assist physicians throughout the country in making the change.
Matthew Hutchings, President of Dolomite a local computer service company, said, “We have been helping local medical practices go paperless for some time and are excited that the country will be making this transition together.” This giant step will take time, but President Obama is hoping to have a large majority of the country on this system by the end of the year.
